And adding to the list was Karan Johar who announced that he became a father of twins Yash and Roohi. And while we are still trying to keep a count of all the new additions to the next generation of Bollywood, Taimur’s aunt and uncle – Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu were spotted at Saif-Kareena’s house. They surely took time off to visit the little one, who has been making news ever since his birth. Meanwhile, actor Harshvardhan was also spotted in Mumbai along with Rhea Chakraborty. This Mom’s Reminder About Why It’s Always Important to Get In Family Photos Is Heartbreaking

From Redbook

Learning to love the changes in your postpartum body can be difficult – particularly when, in the midst of juggling all of the many new mom responsibilities, you’re not “bouncing back” as quickly as you feel you should be (or as quickly as so many Instagram “fit moms” seem to be). But one mother has issued a heartbreaking reminder about why it’s so important to push past post-baby weight insecurities and take photos together as a family.

Michelle Steinke posted a 2008 photo of herself and her baby son to Facebook, accompanied by a caption detailing what she called one of her biggest regrets – not posing for more family pictures during the time when she was ashamed of her post-pregnancy body.

“My self-hate and loathing kept me from taking photos of my babies and photos with the man I loved,” Steinke wrote. She went on to explain that, in retrospect, she realizes her refusal was “stupid,” knowing that her children and husband loved her no matter her size. Sadly, Steinke’s husband died in 2009, when her children were just toddlers, leaving her regretful that she hadn’t commemorated the life her family was living before she lost it unexpectedly. “The day he died, all I cared about was the memories we made, the trips we took, and the photos of our whole family. I regret not being in the photos,” the mom of two wrote.

Since her husband’s death, Steinke has dedicated herself to fitness and has made it her mission to encourage widows to take care of themselves physically, running “One Fit Widow” to tell her story and to track her journey. In the aftermath of her husband’s death, Steinke came to recognize that “perfection is a myth,” noting that even after losing 70 pounds, she was “still far from perfect.”

Though Steinke eventually lost the weight she’d so loathed while her husband was alive, her point in posting this emotional story was to remind others that it’s important love yourself while still working on your body. “You shouldn’t stop living because you think you should be more fit, weigh less, or look different. You can always love yourself while you work to better your health and fitness. This moment is your life … don’t miss it,” Steinke told Babble.

The fitness trainer and public speaker has since remarried, and nowadays has no hesitation about posing for family photos and memorializing life with her family – she even has annual portraits taken with her kids by a professional photographer. “At any moment, your life could change for the worse, so embrace the moments, love yourself, love your family, and make time for the people who matter,” Steinke shared with Babble.

Moms are often the ones who take family photos, winding up left out of the picture by default. Steinke’s story is an invaluable reminder that sometimes you just need to get in the damn photo no matter what.

PHOTOS: Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha: Fashion hits and misses of the week (March 26 – April 1)

Hit: Priyanka Chopra got together with the entire cast of Baywatch for the promotion of the film at Las Vegas CinemaCon and even though there were other celebs present, the only person who caught our attention was her. Dressed in a black dress with the edgy asymmetrical cuts and hemline, Chopra looked quite the diva. She accessorised it well with a pair of black ankle length boots and lovely drop-earrings. Her hair was styled perfectly in beach waves and her make-up was kept simple with a soft blush of pink on her cheeks, softly highlighted eyelids and a brown lip shade. We think she looked perfect, no complaints here. She is on a roll, we say. (Source: Instagram/priyankachopra_beauty)

Hit: It’s no news that Malaika Arora Khan is one of the most stylish ladies of Bollywood. The actress has over the years redefined tres chic dressing. Recently, we spotted Khan up and about at an exhibition in Mumbai and as expected it wasn’t any different this time around too. Khan stepped out in a fresh off the runway look from Abraham and Thakore’s collection. The outfit included a white shirt, a sari style pleated maxi skirt and a matching bolero jacket. With hair tied up in a centre-parted ponytail, the fashionista accessorised her look with heavy kohled eyes and a pair of silver earrings. We think she looked lovely. Hit: Sonakshi Sinha is really working some magic here for Noor promotions. Recently, the actress taped for an episode of ‘Nach Baliye’ and she actually gave us some major fashion goals with her ‘old Hollywood glamour’ inspired look. Sinha looked like a true diva in a full sequined, halter neck gown by Manish Malhotra. The actress who isn’t afraid to experiment anymore as per her own admission even flaunted a thigh-high slit. She opted for gorgeous cascading waves and black strappy heels from Dune London to complement the look. We think it’s the perfect choice. (Source: Instagram/Mohit Rai)

Hit: Taapsee Pannu impressed us in her monochrome avatar. For the promotional rounds of ‘Naam Shabana’, the actress decided to go the casual yet chic way in a corset-inspired blouse featuring cutout sleeves and a pair of wide legged pants, both from Vizyon. With side-swept hair, she paired it with simple black strappy heels and minimal make-up. (Source: Instagram/devs213)

Hit: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen in a crisp white sari which she styled with a bun with mogra around it, smokey eyes and a soft lip shade. We love everything about this look! Perfect for summers, don’t you agree? (Source: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Wearing a beautiful Georges Chakra Spring 2016 couture gown, Alia Bhatt channelled some major princess-y vibes. The rose lace strapless floral embroidered corset bodice with pastel silk threads and a pink embroidered ball gown skirt looked really lovely on her. The gown is a beauty – it’s like stating the obvious – but we also love how she styled it well with minimal make-up and unkempt hair. The idea to go sans jewellery was a good one. Hit: Aditi Rao Hydari scorched the red carpet in a gorgeous striped metallic gown by Amit Aggarwal from his latest collection. The gown with a V-neck line and high-low hem with a structural skirt was complemented with a matching pair of sandals and gold earrings with black stone work. Her make-up was kept minimal with a hint of pink lip shade. She managed to work it well. (Source: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Disha Patani looked breathtaking in a velvet structured gown by Swapnil Shinde. The retro-inspired hairdo worked well with the gown. A diamond and ruby statement necklace and ring rounded her look. She couldn’t have done better! (Source: Varinder Chawla)

Miss: We don’t know what Shriya Saran was thinking but nothing about this looked worked. The Gaurav Gupta sari didn’t make it to our must-have list and definitely not the dramatic, sculptural blouse. And we wish she would have hidden that drawstring well. Major blunder! (Source: Varinder Chawla)

Hit: Gracing the red carpet at Hello Hall of Fame Awards in Mumbai was Katrina Kaif in a red Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown. The Jagga Jasoos actress did full justice to the strapless gown which came with a structured peplum waist and a plunging neckline with sheer panels. As usual, Kaif kept her styling minimal, with a fresh dewy face of make-up, defined eyes and a simple half-up, half-down hairdo. She accessorised her gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and a ruby ring from Gehna Jewellers. We think a wispy updo would have looked better here but we can’t deny that she worked this look as well. Badrinath Ki Dulhania, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, came out as a surprise package in March. The film has minted Rs 107.69 crore and is still running at the theatres.

Twitter egg in default profile photo replaced with new ‘human-like’ image

Twitter’s new profile photo was chosen after the company went through all of Twitter’s default profile photos throughout the years. Twitter’s new profile photo was chosen after the company went through all of Twitter’s default profile photos throughout the years.

Twitter has changed its iconic default profile photo icon from egg to a new image that “feels like an empty state or placeholder” and is more gender-balanced. Previously users could change the background of the egg to seven different colours, while the new profile photo will have ‘generic’ gray colour as the only option.

“We noticed that some people kept the egg default profile photo because they thought it was fun and cute, but we want people to use this space to show us who they are!” Twitter Design team said in a blog post.

Users who often create accounts just to troll and harass other people on Twitter do not take the time to personalise their accounts and go with “Twitter egg”. Twitter wants to change that by giving all its users, including the new ones an opportunity to personalise their profile photo.

Twitter’s new profile photo was chosen after the company went through all of Twitter’s default profile photos throughout the years. “We originally chose the egg, with a different colored background for each new account, because we wanted something that was playful, fun, and unique,” reads the blog post.

However, the idea with the new profile photo is to use people’s existing expectations for default profile photos and how they serve as a temporary placeholder.

“We reviewed many variations of our figure, altering both the head and shoulders to feel more inclusive to all genders,” the company said in the blog post. Twitter calls its new default profile photo generic, universal, serious, unbranded, temporary and inclusive.
